We take a look at Manchester United’s squad value ahead of the January transfer window.

The January transfer window is just around the corner with it expected to be a busy month for Premier League clubs, most notably Manchester United. Erik ten Hag’s side has recently seen Cristiano Ronaldo depart Old Trafford by mutual consent, meaning a forward is likely the number one target for the Red Devils’ boss next month.

United have made a good start to the season under Ten Hag. They sit fifth in the league after 14 games, three points behind Tottenham, with a match in hand. The Dutchman has also guided his team to the Europa League play-off round and the quarter-final of the League Cup.

Ten Hag made his own stamp on his squad with the summer arrivals of Christian Eriksen, Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia, Casemiro and Antony on permanent deals, while Martin Dubravka joined on a season-long loan. Meanwhile, the Dutchman allowed several players to depart the Theatre of Dreams, most notably Paul Pogba and Juan Mata.

As of 3 November, Ronaldo is valued at £20m, according to Transfermarkt. If he was still part of Ten Hag’s squad, he would be the joint-11th most valuable player at Old Trafford. His departure is expected to free-up significant wages for the Red Devils to attempt to sign a replacement for the 37-year-old.

With that being said, let’s take a look at how much each player is valued at the club, according to Transfermarkt, as well as United’s overall squad value heading into the January transfer window. Dubravka hasn’t been included in the list due to him being on loan at the club.
