Manchester United look set for a financial boost amid their ongoing bid to sign Sofyan Amrabat.

The Red Devils have found themselves short of options late in the window, with injuries causing a lack of depth at both centre-back and midfield. Raphael Varane and Mason Mount are nursing injuries, and Erik ten Hag has been left considering a late transfer move ahead of Friday’s deadline.

Fiorentina star Amrabat has been heavily linked, with United said to be in talks over the possible signing of the holding available.

According to the Daily Mail, United have seen a £1.7million loan offer rejected by Fiorentina, but that’s not the end of it. It’s claimed Fiorentina will consider a loan deal, but there will need to be an obligation to buy built into the deal, guaranteeing the Serie A club a pay day down the line.

United are looking to strike a loan deal so that they can kick the can down the road with Financial Fair Play in mind. The Red Devils have spent significantly this summer, and a lack of exits have left them needing to balance the books.

The good news is that, according to The Mirror, Dean Henderson is about to secure a £20million move to Crystal Palace, allowing United to bring in some much needed cash. That could well factor into the Amrabat deal between now and the end of the deadline.

United could also offload Donny van de Beek before the deadline, witht he Dutchman not doing enough to impress Erik ten Hag this summer. Fabrizio Romano told Caught Offside over a possible exit: “In terms of departures in that position for United, I think Donny van de Beek still has high, very high chances to leave. There are some options, but not Lorient or Genoa as of now, despite rumours.”
