Chelsea are being linked with a surprise move for Cristiano Ronaldo in January. Sunday World report the Blues’ ‘interest’ in the attacker remains from the summer and they could swoop for him this winter and hand him an escape route from Old Trafford. The Portugal international was left out of the squad at Stamford Bridge and his future is up in the air.

MLS ace on radar

United are reportedly keen on Chicago Fire attacker Jhon Duran. The 18-year-old is catching the eye in the MLS and is being tipped for a bright future in the game. According to a report by The Sun, the Red Devils are ‘ready’ to battle other Premier League clubs to lure him to England.

Defender was wanted

United have reportedly been interested in Arsenal defender Gabriel Magalhaes in the past. The Brazilian has since penned a new contract with the Gunners after helping them rise to the top of the table this term. Reporter Fabrizio Romano has said in his column with CaughtOffside:

“I’m told two clubs approached Gabriel Magalhaes’ agents in July, and Juventus were one of them for sure. Arsenal decided to keep him as key player for present and future. Napoli were pushing more than Man United for Gabriel in 2020, but Arsenal’s insistence made the difference.”
