Man Utd predicted line-up vs Wolves with one key change expected at centre-back - gallery

Here’s how we think Manchester United will start in Saturday’s clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Erik ten Hag could be without five senior Manchester United players for the trip to Molineux on New Year’s Eve.

Axel Tuanzebe and Jadon Sancho have definitely been ruled out, with Diogo Dalot, Victor Lindelof and Scott McTominay also major doubts for the clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers. However, Dalot and Lindelof trained on Friday, which suggests they could be available for the weekend fixture.

Ten Hag is expected to select a similar team in the Midlands to the one which played against Forest on Wednesday. That means Aaron Wan-Bissaka might start at right-back for the third consecutive game in a row.

At the heart of defence, Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez are options for United once again, with the latter back in training following Argentina’s World Cup win, while Maguire was deemed not fit to start at Old Trafford during the week due to the same illness which has affected Lindelof and McTominay.

Luke Shaw played at centre-back against Forest, with Tyrell Malacia at left-back, and Ten Hag is likely to choose one of the pair on the left of defence at Molineux.

Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes started on Wednesday, but Fred and Donny van de Beek are also options for the United boss, who may look to rotate given the busy fixture schedule.

In attack, Antony would be fortunate to start again following a poor display against Forest, with Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Elanga possible replacements. Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial should keep their places after scoring in their last Premier League outings. Here’s how we think United will line up…
