Man Utd predicted line-up vs Man City gallery - nine changes for the Manchester derby

We’re tipping Erik ten Hag to recall several important Manchester United players for the clash against Manchester City.

Erik ten Hag could recall some key Manchester United players for Saturday’s Manchester derby.

The Red Devils head into the clash in excellent form, unlike Manchester City, who suffered a shock Carabao Cup loss in midweek away to Southampton. In contrast, United progressed to the semi-finals of the competition thanks to a 3-0 victory over Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night.

Ten Hag brought a number of players in for the match, most of whom are expected to be omitted from the team on Saturday. Tom Heaton, Harry Maguire, Tyrell Malacia, Scott McTominay, Fred, Kobbie Mainoo, Alejandro Garnacho and Anthony Elanga could drop to the bench for the visit of the Premier League champions.

But Ten Hag confirmed on Friday that Anthony Martial is a doubt for the game due to a leg injury, while the transfer of Wout Weghorst has not be completed in time for him to play at Old Trafford.

Diogo Dalot also won’t be involved due to the the knock he picked up in midweek. The Portugal international had to be replaced in the first half of the win over Charlton, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka introduced in his place. The former Crystal Palace man is the most likely candidate to start at right-back with Dalot ruled out.

Bruno Fernandes is also available again after missing the Charlton win due to suspension, while Axel Tuanzebe, Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho are confirmed absentees for the weekend as well. With that in mind, here’s how we expect them to line-up…
