Man Utd predicted XI vs Fulham: Six changes to midweek line-up for FA Cup clash - gallery

Manchester United could make it to a second semi-final of the season when they host Fulham on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag is expected to name his strongest possible Manchester United side on Sunday for the visit of Fulham in the FA Cup.

The Cottagers have the advantage of having a full week to prepare for the game, but the cup tie was also clearly on the mind of Ten Hag when his side were in Europa League action on Thursday in the win over Real Betis. The United boss rested Raphael Varane and Luke Shaw and managed to replace Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Lisandro Martinez, Fred, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford in the second half.

It means the Red Devils should feel a little fresher than usual after a midweek game, although they will have to contend with the blow of Casemiro being absent. The Brazilian was sent off in last week’s Premier League draw with Southampton and will now serve a four-game domestic ban. Ten Hag has two main options to replace him in midfield, with Scott McTominay or Marcel Sabitzer expected to come in for the former Real Madrid man.

The Dutch manager may also have to consider his options in the wide areas, with Alejandro Garnacho ruled out and Antony a doubt through illness. Rashford is likely to start, but who plays on the opposite flank looks less certain. Fernandes has featured out right at times this season, while Jadon Sancho and Facundo Pellistri are also options. The latter made his first start for the club in Seville on Thursday and impressed Ten Hag and former midfielder Paul Scholes.

With all that in mind, here’s how we think the team will line up on Sunday…
