Man Utd predicted line-up gallery vs Crystal Palace - will Marcel Sabitzer make his debut?

The midfielder joined Manchester United on loan from Bayern Munich on transfer deadline day.

Manchester United could hand a debut to Marcel Sabitzer on Saturday following his deadline-day loan move from Bayern Munich.

The Red Devils were forced into the market on Tuesday due to their midfield issues. Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek have been ruled out for several months, while Scott McTominay is also suffering from a knock which will keep him out for a few weeks.

It means United only have four senior, fit midfielders at present, including Sabitzer - and Erik ten Hag was asked if there’s any chance the Austrian could start in the weekend clash against Crystal Palace.

"I think he’s a really smart player, I think we gave him some guidance, but I think he knows what to do, he knows the job, so he could do,” the Dutchman responded.

"Of course, he did only one session, but you can see he’s a very fit player,” Ten Hag added. “I didn’t have a different expectation. He’s coming from Bayern Munich, German [clubs] they are always [about] fitness, [it’s] always good. So, he is [fit]. So, I think he is ready to play."

Should Ten Hag opt not to start Sabitzer, United only have three other options in Casemiro, Fred and Bruno Fernandes.

Elsewhere, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial are available again after spells out of the team, and both returned in the midweek Carabao Cup semi-final win over Nottingham Forest. Diogo Dalot offers another alternative for United, with the Portugal international back in training this week following a recent injury lay-off.

But we’re backing Ten Hag to make two changes on Saturday, from the team which played against Forest. Here’s how we think he’ll line up…
