Man Utd predicted XI to play Chelsea - with duo expected to return

Manchester United could look to tweak their defence again after a second consecutive defeat last weekend when they welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford on Thursday.

Ralf Rangnick could look to tweak his defence for the third consecutive game when Manchester United welcome Chelsea to Old Trafford on Thursday.

The Red Devils have conceded seven goals in their last two outfings, leading to their defence being continuously criticised.

Raphael Varane and Alex Telles were at fault for Arsenal’s first goal on Saturday after failing to clear the ball.

The latter was then seen to foul Bukayo Saka in the box, leading to a penalty and the Gunners’ no.7 slotting past David De Gea for their second of the match.

Mikel Arteta’s side won the fixture 3-1, denting United’s top four ambitions and leaving them sixth in the table.

The Red Devils now face a tough challenge on Thursday with third-place Chelsea their opposition.

Rangnick opted to return to a 4-2-3-1 formation against the Gunners and despite falling to defeat is likely to line-up in that format again.

With that being said, we take a look at which players the German could choose to start at Old Trafford on Thursday evening…
