Erik ten Hag to drop out-of-form attacker - Man Utd predicted line-up gallery vs West Ham

We’re anticipating three Manchester United changes from the side that lost to Brighton on Thursday.

Erik ten Hag has several selection dilemmas to make when choosing his starting line-up against West Ham United on Sunday.

Firstly, the Manchester United manager has to consider the busy fixture schedule and the potential need to rotate following tough games against Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion in the last week. Although, with six days to prepare for the clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on 13 May, Ten Hag may still select his strongest-choice XI at the London Stadium.

With Raphael Varane and LIsandro Martinez still unavailable, centre-back remains a problem for Ten Hag and he is expected to stick with Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw at the heart of defence, despite the latter’s late error against Brighton that saw him give a penalty away. Harry Maguire offers an alternative, but it’s unlikely he’ll start.

In the full-back areas, Diogo Dalot has been a mainstay in the side over recent weeks even though he’s been outperformed by Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia. Two of those three are expected to line up in the wide areas.

As for midfield, Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes tend to start, with one of Fred, Christian Eriksen or Marcel Sabitzer expected to make up the trio in the centre. Scott McTominay remains absent with a knock.

But it’s converting chances that has been an issue for United of late, with Marcus Rashford’s goals drying up. He could start in a central role if Ten Hag opts to drop the underwhelming Anthony Martial. Antony and Jadon Sancho are also options in the attacking areas, with Alejandro Garnacho possibly set to return this weekend.

Here’s how we think United will line up for the trip to West Ham…
