Manchester United picked up a much-needed victory as they claimed a 1-0 win at newly-promoted Burnley on Saturday night.

Erik ten Hag’s side had lost their last three games in all competitions but Bruno Fernandes’ stunning volley just before half time was enough to clinch three points at Turf Moor.

Jonny Evans provided a fine assist with a diagnoal pass from deep as the Northern Ireland international produced an impressive display in the heart of the Red Devils defence as United earned their first clean sheet since their opening win over Wolves last month.

The win gives United three victories and three defeats to start the 2023-24 season.
