Winger update

Sky Sports report Juventus and Borussia Dortmund are keen on signing Jadon Sancho from United this summer. He spent the second-half of last term on loan with the latter in the Bundesliga.

Sancho, who is 24-years-old, still has two years left on his contract with the Red Devils but has fallen out of the picture over recent times.

He joined his current side back in 2021 from Dortmund and has since made 82 appearances in all competitions, only two of which came last season, and he has scored 12 goals.

Cutting ties with the Londoner would free up space and funds in Ten Hag’s squad to pave the way for new arrivals but his next destination remains unknown at this stage.

Defender could leave

United ‘could’ let defender Victor Lindelof head out the exit door. Reporter Dharmesh Sheth has told GiveMeSport: “Victor Lindelof is into the final year of his contract. There are no talks planned, and no talks currently over a new deal.

"There is interest from clubs like Fenerbahce. Jose Mourinho, of course, brought him to Manchester United back in 2017 - there is interest there.

"There's interest from other clubs as well. If Victor Lindelof was to leave, then I think United would want to bring in another central defender as well, so it could be the case where they go in for not one, but two.”

The centre-back’s contract expires in 2025 meaning the Red Devils risk losing him for nothing next year if they don’t cash in on him now or in January, assuming he doesn’t pen an extension anytime soon.

Lindelof is a Sweden international with 48 caps under his belt. They missed out on qualification to Euro 2024.

Prior to his move to England, he played for Benfica from 2012 to 2017 and played 73 matches for the Portuguese giants before alerting the attention of United.

Fenerbahce has been mentioned as a potential next club for him and they are managed by former United boss Jose Mourinho these days. They brought him in earlier this summer after they missed out on winning the Super Lig title to bitter rivals Galatasaray.

Lindelof could be seen by the Istanbul outfit as someone to bolster their defensive department.

Centre-back latest

United remain in talks with Jonny Evans regarding his future, as per the Manchester Evening News. The veteran’s deal has now expired but he may well be in line for another one.

He has injected some useful experience into Ten Hag’s ranks over the past 12 months.
