Defensive duo Di’Shon Bernard and Bjorn Hardley could leave United before the end of the January transfer window along with attacker Charlie McNeill. That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who claim the club are ‘open’ to offers as they look to ship out some players on loan until the end of the season to help them get some more game time.

Bernard, who has previously been on the books at Chelsea, had a loan spell in the Championship last term with Hull City and ended up making 28 appearances in all competitions for the Tigers. Hardley is yet to experience a temporary move away and would benefit from some regular senior football somewhere else, whilst McNeill is also in the same boat.

Winger to stay?

One individual who may not be heading out the exit door is winger Facundo Pellistri. The Uruguay international came off the bench at the City Ground last time out and is a regular on the bench for United, despite being linked with a few clubs this winter.

Ten Hag has provided this update on his situation, as per BBC Sport: “We have our ideas. For some players we are open for loans but with some players they are not. We put Pellistri (on Wednesday), that is a signal.”
