After the humbling of their recent derby day defeat against Manchester City, Manchester United bounced back well on Sunday evening against Everton.

The Red Devils came from behind at Goodison Park to pick up a 2-1 win and all three points against the Toffees, with plenty of positives to take from the game. Summer signing Antony got himself on the scoresheet yet again, while Cristiano Ronaldo finally ended the wait for his 700th career club goal. Had it not been for a contentious offside call, United might have won by more too, with Marcus Rashford having a strike of his own chalked off after a VAR intervention.

Next up for Erik ten Hag’s side is a clash with Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, but before that, there is still plenty of transfer speculation to work through. Check out Tuesday United-related gossip below...

United watching Skriniar

United are ‘keeping a close eye’ on Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar ahead of a possible move next year, according to Fichajes.

The Slovakian international is out of contract in Italy at the end of the season, and as things stand, does not appear to have any intention of renewing his current deal. As such, a number of high-profile European sides are being credited with an interest in him, including United. Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are also said to be in the running for his signature.

Indeed, the European champions are said to regard the 27-year-old as the ‘best option’ available to help them add to their defensive line, but the Red Devils also see him as a player capable of delivering a ‘boost’ to their squad.

United offered Lozano

United were offered the opportunity to sign Napoli forward Hirving Lozano over the summer, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Over the weekend, the Mexican’s former agent opened up on the player’s desire to join a ‘top English club’, with the Red Devils even mentioned as one potential destination. During an interview with Italian outlet Gonfia la Rete.

Speaking about his ex-client Alessandro Monfrecol said: “Next June, Lozano will leave in my opinion, also because he earns over £3.5 million at Napoli. Although he is delighted to be here, he has never hidden that he aspired to the top English clubs. However, now he is probably realising that Napoli itself is a top club. He has never hidden that he loves Barcelona and Real Madrid, but unless Carlo Ancelotti falls in love with him again, he has no market.”

He added: “I think he could land in Manchester United or Everton. This does not exclude that other English teams could enter the negotiation. My personal prediction is that he will leave in June, but he is very happy here.”

And Romano has since claimed that Lozano has already been offered to United - although the Red Devils stopped short of making a formal bid for the 27-year-old. Speaking to Caught Offside, he said: “I’m told Hirving Lozano was offered to Manchester United, nothing else. They never made any bid to Napoli. The situation is really quiet, he’s happy at Napoli now; I think his price tag could be around €20-25m (£17.5m-21.9m).”
