The managerial situation remains unclear ahead of next season, but one thing that is for certain, recruitment will be needed to improve next term.

As usual there is an array of rumours doing the rounds ahead of Tuesday’s crucial Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid.

Akanji ‘offer’

United are said to have submitted an offer to Borussia Dortmund star Manuel Akanji.

Akanji is out of contract in 2023, putting Dortmund in a difficult position, and according to BILD, the Red Devils are looking to take advantage.

It’s reported United have offered the defender the chance to almost double his wage at Old Trafford should he sign.

Kessie blow

United are said to have been dealt a significant transfer blow, with AC Milan star Franck Kessie on the move.

Kessie has been heavily linked with a move to United and Tottenham ahead of his contract expiring at the end of this season.

But according to Gerard Romero, Kessie has already agreed to join Barcelona at the end of this season on a free transfer.

United have reportedly completed the signing of a talented youth star.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Reds have snapped up Brighton & Hove Albion starlet Toby Collyer.

It’s claimed a three-and-a-half year contract has already been signed, and the England youth midfielder will now make the switch to Old Trafford.
