Ex-United target Raphinha is another who could be made available this summer in order to fill the financial holes that exist at the Catalonia club.
As such, Barcelona could be willing to do business for Araujo this summer with a nine-figure fee touted. Araujo has made 34 appearances for Barcelona this season and 22 of those coming in La Liga with Xavi's side sitting third at present.
The 25-year-old, who has collected 16 caps for Uruguay, has even worn the captain's armband at points this season for the Blaugrana, speaking of the maturity and leadership skills he has shown in his short career so far.

Araujo has been with Barcelona since 2018, joining up with the club's B team after stints with Rentistas and Boston River in his home nation.
The interest comes as United gear up for what could be a summer of change at Old Trafford as Sir Jim Ratcliffe looks to make his mark. WIth Raphael Varane set to be released at the end of the season and with the club willing to consider offers for Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire, the back line could be a key area of improvement for Ratcliffe and INEOS.
