Manchester United secured a win on Saturday to go into the international break on the back of a win. Victor Lindelof was the unlikely scorer to ensure the Red Devils defeated strugglers Luton Town at Old Trafford.

It wasn't a confident performance, but United needed a win to get over their Champions League collapse during the week, and they got it. Here we round up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Ten Hag on injuries

United lost two more players to injury on Saturday, with Rasmus Hojlund and Christian Eriksen both picking up fresh blows, although the extent of those injuries are unknown. “In this moment, I can’t tell anything about it because I don’t know,” Ten Hag said at his press conference over Hojlund. “We do an assessment and we have to wait 24 hours for the conclusion. So we’ll give the medical team 24 hours to see what the problem is, if there is a problem.

“You don’t want to miss any player. There’s also Christian Eriksen. That is our season at this moment – we have so many injuries. But, therefore, you have a squad. We have talked about it many times. But, of course, the routine levels are dropping down, the routine levels in the team, in the way of playing. But, hopefully, players are coming back and those new injuries are not too bad.”

Inacio race

United are said to be in the thick of the race to sign Sporting CP defender Goncalo Inacio. According to Diario AS, the Red Devils are leading Real Madrid in the race for the centre-back, who has a release clause worth around £54million.

The Red Devils need more options at centre-back, something that has been made clear with injuries over recent weeks. The issue is whether United can actually spent anywhere near that amount amid FFP concerns.
