It’s set to be another busy weekend of Premier League football, with all 20 top-flight clubs in action.

Manchester United face a stern test, with Newcastle United travelling to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon. The Magpies have been in good form of late, scoring nine goals in their last two matches. As such, Eddie Howe’s men sit sixth in the table, just one point behind the Red Devils - albeit having played one game more.

For their part, United will be looking to build on last weekend’s 2-1 victory over Everton as they aim to climb into the top four. But before they come up against Newcastle, Erik ten Hag’s side still have plenty of transfer speculation to sift through. Here are Friday’s United-related rumours...

Milenkovic-Savic valuation revealed

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has claimed that reported United target Sergej Milenkovic-Savic is worth £105 million. The Red Devils have been linked with the Serbian for some time, with a potential interest reemerging in recent months amid Ten Hag’s prolonged search for midfield reinforcements.

But should United look to firm up their apparent interest with a formal approach, they will have to pay a handsome fee for the player, according to Lotito. Milenkovic-Savic remains a key figure for Maurizio Sarri’s side, and is valued as such by the Serie A outfit.

Speaking to Il Messaggero about supposed interest from Juventus, Lotito said: “I have no agreement with his agent [Mateja] Kezman to sell him to Juventus or anyone else in the winter. On the contrary, he is now worth €120m [£105m], not €100m [£88m]. Every month the price goes up.”

Former Chelsea striker Kezman represents his compatriot, and he has himself been non-committal the future of his client, stating to Corriere dello Sport: “Sergej has just 18 months left on his contract, we will have to discuss about his situation with Lazio after the World Cup.”

Felix deal would present “no problem”

United could pull off a deal to sign Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix ‘without any problem’, according to Fichajes. The Portuguese international was touted as a potential target for the Red Devils over the summer, but remained with the Spanish giants ahead of the current campaign.

The 22-year-old’s situation could soon change, however, with mounting speculation over a possible exit cited in the Spanish press. Indeed, Fichajes’ latest update examines at a list of potential destinations for the player, should he leave Atletico in the coming months.

It is claimed that Ten Hag’s side are in need of ‘new blood’ in attacking areas - especially if Cristiano Ronaldo does end up ‘leaving next January’. To that end, a move for Felix is regarded as a transfer that the club could secure ‘without any problem’.

In fact, Fichajes suggest that the ‘only downside’ for the forward is that United are not competing in the Champions League this season, which is something ‘the player would like to continue doing’. Given Atletico’s own precarious position in Europe’s top competition, however, that could soon become something of a moot point.
