Man Utd make three contract 'decisions' amid fresh Roy Keane verdict on Erik ten Hag
Manchester United gave themselves a European lifeline on Wednesday night with an impressive 3-2 home win over Newcastle United. The win puts the Red Devils behind the Magpies in seventh place on only goal difference, though their far inferior goal difference means they will need to beat Newcastle’s result on the final day to have any hope of landing seventh spot.

United make contract ‘decisions’
United have reportedly decided to axe three players ahead of the summer, with changes expected to take place at Old Trafford whether Ten Hag remains in charge or not. According to Football Insider, the Red Devils have already decided on the fates of Jonny Evans, Tom Heaton and Anthony martial, who have all reportedly been told they are welcome to find new clubs.
The Red Devils were needing to make contract decisions on all of those players, and it seems they have decided not to offer any of them new deals. Martial has struggled for fitness this season but was always expected to move on, while Evans was always expected to be a short-team solution. Heaton will want to play regular football late in his career.

Roy Keane has issued a fresh verdict on Ten Hag amid building pressure ahead of the summer. Keane said on Sky Sports: “You do admire him, he seems really upbeat, saying it is a big win. But you're not gauged at Man Utd by beating Newcastle at home. It is about competing in the big games, you're not going to win championships every year but you hope that you're up there competing - and Man Utd have been nowhere near.
"He is trying to be positive, I like that, he's talking about the young players. But you've got to get the mix right, the senior players haven't done enough. There's been too many injuries, defensively they have been huge, but overall you still digest all that and look at the record. All these things are not good to look at it, but you hope he's given another chance."
