It’s another new era at Old Trafford, with Erik ten Hag now in charge, and he has begun putting his own stamp on his new squad.

But there is still work to do, with United still having areas they need to add to ahead of the transfer window closing at the end of this month.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours concerning United.

Sesko latest

United are said to be willing to meet RB Salzburg’s asking price to sign striker Benjamin Sesko.

The Red Devils are going to need to sign a striker this summer having said goodbye to Edinson Cavani, and uncertainty continues over Cristiano Ronaldo’s future.

Sesko could be an option for ten Hag, and according to reports in Spain, as cited by the Express, United are willing to pay the asking price of £41.8million to complete a deal for the 19-year-old.

Redknapp claim

Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp claims he knows ‘for a fact’ Frenkie de Jong wants to join Chelsea over United.

“Now it looks like De Jong wants to go to Chelsea, I know that for a fact, he wants to go to Chelsea,” he told The Byline.

“Man United are not going to get him. I’ve had that from somebody right at the very, very, very top at Man United, he’s made up [his mind], he really wants to go to Chelsea.

“So if he goes to Chelsea, and Man United don’t get him, I don’t know where they’re going and if Chelsea get him obviously he’ll be a fantastic signing for them.”

Bailly departure

Centre-back Eric Bailly is said to be ‘one step’ away from leaving Old Trafford.

According to Calciomercato, Bailly is now close to joining Roma on a loan deal, with the Italian club holding an option to buy.

Bailly was unlikely to play in the coming season amid the arrival of Lisandro Martinez, and it looks as though he will move on to secure more regular football.
