Manchester United are now preparing to battle Sevilla for a spot in the Europa League semi-finals.

The Red Devils picked up a much-needed boost in the Premier League over the weekend, beating Nottingham Forest to take advantage of defeats for top four rivals Newcastle United and Tottenham. They now turn attention to Europe, hoping to make up for a disappointing first leg at Old Trafford, when Erik ten Hag’s men led by two goals only to go into the second leg level.

As the Red Devils head for Southern Spain, we have rounded up all the latest news surrounding Old Trafford.

Raya addresses links

Brentford star David Raya has been linked with United ahead of this summer, and he has now spoken about those links.

The Red Devils have a decision to make when it comes to the future of their goalkeeping department. David De Gea is out of contract this summer, while Dean Henderson’s future is unclear, currently on loan at Nottingham Forest.

Raya has been linked, and Speaking on the Yours, Mine, Away! Podcast, he said: “Obviously it’s nice to hear that clubs are after you and asking about you and looking for you. These clubs are the biggest in the world and every player wants to play for these clubs and everything. I have a year left and I don’t know what will happen in the summer.

“I’ve said before that I’ve had two contracts that I’ve turned down because they weren’t the offers I was looking for. I want to push myself to the highest level to the Champions League, the Europa League and to win those trophies. I want to experience that and I’m at that stage in my footballing career.”

The goalkeeper added when asked about some of the potential fees mentioned: “It is mental, especially with a year left. That is a lot of money, especially for a goalkeeper but you never know what will happen in the summer, who is going to come in and what they’re going to offer.”

Telles decision

United are said to be willing to offload fringe star Alex Telles this summer.

Telles is currently on loan at Sevilla, leaving the club after some controversy behind the scenes, falling out with a teammate during training, while he was likely to be surplus to requirements in any case. According to Torcedores, Brazilian club Flamengo may be interested in snapping up Telles this summer.

Sevilla are not likely to take up the option to sign Telles permanently this summer, while United are also said to be likely to seek an exit for the Brazilian left-back.
