Man Utd loan 'agreement in place' as outcast finally seals move away from Old Trafford

The latest transfer talk from Manchester United as a Red Devils midfielder has reportedly sealed a loan move away from Old Trafford

Manchester United outcast Donny van de Beek has verbally agreed a loan move to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, according to reports.

The former Ajax midfielder joined the Red Devils for a reported £35m in the summer of 2020, but has started just 23 times for the club since his move amid a series of groin, thigh and knee ligament injuries.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now claimed a move to Germany has been agreed ahead of the January transfer window as Van de Beek aims to get his career back on track. United are said to have agreed an option to buy as part of the deal although there are conflicting reports on what fee has been agreed. The Red Devils will also pocket a loan fee.

Van de Beek has played in just two games for United this season, totalling in just 21 minutes of football. His contract at Old Trafford expires in the summer of 2025 but his future at the club looks all but over as he prepares to head to Germany.

A summer move away from United failed to come to fruition after a loan spell with Premier League rivals Everton last term. He had already made clear his desire to play regular football, and was open to the fact that would be at another club if he was still on the sidelines for United.

He told The Mirror: ''I am bouncing to play matches again. The manager is making different choices now. We have a big squad and I am not the only one knocking on the door. We'll see in January what happens. I need to start playing games very soon - if not at Man United then at another club. I think I have to be ambitious.

“I have always been a lover of the game. I am absolutely crazy about football. I earn a good living at United, but money is not my motivation. I want to enjoy my work every day.”
