Dwight Yorke believes Harry Maguire will leave Manchester United this summer - and urged former club Aston Villa to sign him. The former Red Devils captain was frozen out under Erik ten Hag last season following Lisandro Martinez’s arrival. There were suggestions of a potential move to West Ham United a year ago but Maguire vowed to fight for his place.

Several injuries to Martinez have allowed the 31-year-old to rebuild Ten Hag’s trust but question marks remain about his long-term future. Maguire has become a source of mockery, at times unfairly, from rival supporters.

"Harry Maguire might see it differently and he's entitled to but I think him leaving Man United is a no-brainer,” he told OLBG. "His respect in the changing room would have diminished. Maguire would be a good fit for Aston Villa. Aston Villa is a big club and there is a certain way Unai Emery will want to play and there might be a player he has lined up already that we don't know about. Maguire should be the option for Aston Villa to look out for."
