Manchester United have reportedly sent representatives to watch Roma striker Tammy Abraham in action as they consider a move for the former Chelsea star.

Italian outlet Gazetta have claimed United scouts ‘have been spotted several times in the Monte Mario Stand’ in recent weeks - but have also suggested Paris Saint-Germain also have an interest in the 25-year-old frontman. Intriguingly, there is another complicating factor after the report revealed Chelsea have a £70m buy-back clause inserted into the deal that took Abraham to Roma in August 2021.

The former Aston Villa and Swansea City loan star has flourished since making a permanent move away from Stamford Bridge, helping Jose Mourinho’s side become the winners of the inaugural Europa Conference League and reach the last four of this season’s Europa League.

With eight goals and four assists in 32 appearances during the campaign, Abraham has also helped Roma in their quest to return to the Champions League and they head into the final six games of the season as one of six clubs with a realistic chance of joining champions-elect Napoli in next season’s competition.

United are said to have made a decision to allow Wout Weghorst to return to Burnley at the end of the season and see Abraham as a credible alternative to Harry Kane, should they be unable to persuade Tottenham Hotspur to part company with the England captain.

Red Devils defender set for Ronaldo reunion

United full-back Alex Telles is close to a reunion with former Old Trafford team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo - according the reports in Spain.

The 30-year-old is currently on loan at La Liga club Sevilla but is unlikely to convert that move into a permanent switch at the end of the season. Spanish outlet AS have now reported Turkish giants Galatasaray have an interest in Telles but also suggest the Brazil international could be persuaded to join Al Nassr due to Ronaldo’s presence at the Saudi Arabian club.
