United are said to be considering offering goalkeeper David de Gea a new contract. De Gea’s current deal expires at the end of this season, and there remains uncertainty over whether the Spaniard will be offered a new deal.

But according to The Athletic, United are considering offering a new contract with reduced terms.The veteran keeper’s form has been mixed over recent years, and United may well offer him a reduced salary as they look to sign a long-term replacement.

Frimpong battle

United are said to be interested in a move for Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong.

According to FootballTransfers, the Red Devils are keen on securing a deal for the full-back, needing reinforcements in that area, but they face competition. The report claims Chelsea are also interested as they look to sign a long-term replacement for veteran Cesar Azpilicueta.

The 21-year-old, who was a youth player at Manchester City, has scored five goals from 11 league games this season for Leverkusen and is priced at £20m on Transfermarkt.
