Manchester United turn attention back to the Premier League this weekend as they prepare to face West Ham United.

Erik ten Hag’s men were in Europa League action during the week when they defeated Sheriff to take the fight for top spot in their group to next week’s final game. They face leaders Real Sociedad needing to win and overturn the head-to-head advantage the Spanish side hold.

Before then, though, West Ham will visit Old Trafford on Sunday, and United will be desperate to pick up all three points as they vie to move into the top four.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Martinez claims

United are said to be in with a chance of landing Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez.

Martinez has impressed over a number of years for the Serie A giants, and he has caught the eye again with his Champions League performances this season.

According to InterLive via Football365, United are keen on moving for Martinez as they search for additional forward options, and along with Chelsea, are the clubs best placed to secure a deal. The problem is that Martinez is tied down to a long-term deal with Inter, and it’s claimed the ‘starting point’ for any negotiations will be £77.2million.

Neves latest

United are said to be interested in a deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers star Ruben Neves this winter. The Red Devils were linked with the midfielder during the summer, but they decided to move for Casemiro instead.

That deal throws rumours surrounding a move for Neves in doubt, given the level of investment already made to improve the defensive midfield role, but United do need more midfield options.

And SPORT are saying that both United and Arsenal are interested in making a move for Neves, who is said to be a target of Barcelona’s. Though, it is added that there are doubts from some at Barca over whether the Wolves star is good enough to improve Xavi’s team.
