It has been a long wait on the sidelines for the Red Devils, who have been out of league action for around a month due to postponements and the international break.

United picked up significantly before the long break, but they face a huge test this weekend against a City side that remains unbeaten.

We should see what Erik ten Hag’s men are really made of at the Etihad Stadium amid rising expectations.

But in the meantime, we have taken a look at all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Bellingham links

United are said to be pushing to sign Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham ahead of next summer.

The race to sign Bellingham is hotting up, with the midfielder potentially available after this season.

Just like with Erling Haaland, it takes a year of lobbying to get deals like this one done these days, and United are putting their hat in the ring.

According to Diario AS via Faithful MUFC, United are pushing ‘restlessly’ to get a deal done for Bellingham.

The report does detail a problem, though, claiming United can only pay £79million.

That figure does not stand up well with Dortmund’s valuation of more than £100million, especially with Liverpool and others reportedly interested.

Gakpo interest continues

United are being linked with another move for PSV star Cody Gakpo.

The Red Devils are said to have had a £25million offer for Gakpo rejected last summer, with the winger deciding to reject what he saw as a last-minute move from United.

According to Football Insider, United have now decided to pursue Gakpo at all costs as he continues his fine form in Eredivisie.

It’s claimed United will chase the winger even if his value does continue to rise.
