Manchester United have reportedly “enquired” about a potential move for Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to Caught Offside.
Chelsea have been linked with the former Arsenal captain for several weeks now and it looked likely that if he did leave the Nou Camp and return to the Premier League it would be with the Blues.

Man Utd make Aubameyang enquiry but striker preferes Chelsea

As per Fabrizio Romano in his exclusive Caught Offside column, Manchester United have enquired about signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but the striker’s preference would still be to join Chelsea.
According to the Italian journalist and ‘transfer guru’ the 33-year-old wants to play in the Champions League - a phrase that United fans are hearing with increasing frequency when competing to sign players.

“He wants to play Champions League football, and his priority is Chelsea, so let’s see. The Blues could also include Marcos Alonso in the deal, though Barca prefer for this to be discussed separately.”
What are Man Utd’s chances of signing Aubameyang?
Despite the reported interest from both Chelsea and Manchester United it still looks like remaining at Barcelona will be the most likely outcome for the 33-year old.
The latest betting odds have Aubameyang odds on at 10/11 to still be at the Nou Camp after September 3, 2022 but the Chelsea move is still very much possible and is priced at 5/4.

Juventus are the only other side listed and are massive long shots at 33/1, suggesting there isn’t likely to be much real interest from the Italian side.
