Manchester United have discovered who they’ll face in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The Red Devils will play Reading in the next stage of the competition, in a re-run of a 2019 FA Cup encounter, when United won 2-0 in the third round in 2019 thanks to goals from Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku.

United also have an excellent record against the Royals and last lost to them in 1927, with the Red Devils winning all of the last six meetings between the clubs.

Erik ten Hag’s men made it to the fourth round of the competition after beating Everton 3-1 at the previous stage, with Antony and Marcus Rashford netting either side of Conor Coady’s own-goal.

As for Reading, they beat Watford 2-0 at the Madejski Stadium on Saturday to set up another visit to Old Trafford. The Championship club are managed by former United captain Paul Ince.

Elsewhere, Manchester City or Chelsea will face Arsenal, if they can navigate past Oxford United in their third-round meeting on Monday, while Liverpool or Wolverhampton Wanderers will travel to Brighton & Hove Albion.

The games will be played over the weekend of 28/29 January.
