Manchester United are back in action on Thursday night when they take on Aston Villa for the second time in a week.

The Red Devils suffered a 3-1 defeat against Unai Emery’s side in the Premier League on Sunday, and they will be looking for revenge in the Carabao Cup this week. We are now down to the last two games before the winter break, with United set to face Fulham in the capital on Sunday ahead of the month-long intervention of the World Cup.

In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding Old Trafford.

Bellingham claim

United are unlikely to sign Borussia Dortmund and England star Jude Bellingham for two reasons, according to journalist Florian Plettenberg.

”Bellingham: He's the transfer target No. 1 for #MUFC confirmed! They expect him to cost around €150m, they have scouted him a lot,” Plettenberg tweeted. “Ten Hag wants him in 2023! But: Chances are low due to competition from #MCFC and #LFC and due to Financial Fairplay!”

Ronaldo update

United are reportedly expecting Cristiano Ronaldo to leave the club during the January transfer window. Ronaldo has made plenty of headlines this season, linked with a departure in the summer and then being visibly less than impressed amid a lack of play time this season. Since then, he and Ten Hag appear to have made up.
