Manchester United are in for a big summer with a number of transfers set to happen both in and out of the club. It will be the first summer window for Ruben Amorim after he joined the club last autumn.
The January transfer window saw the arrivals of Ayden Heaven and Patrick Dorgu as Amorim looks to build a squad capable of playing his tactical system. United need to sell players before being able to afford any major incomings in the summer but with the likes of Antony and Marcus Rashford returning to form since leaving on loan, hopes have been raised of the Red Devils earning decent permanent transfer fees for the duo ahead of next season.

Bruno Fernandes has been linked with a surprise £90m switch to Real Madrid while academy graduate Kobbie Mainoo is another who could leave. There has been previous interest from Chelsea but United will not allow the player to leave for anything less than £70m.
Man United ‘preparing’ new Kobbie Mainoo contract offer
Give Me Sport has reported that Mainoo is open to signing a new deal at United amid reported interest from Chelsea while Inter Milan and Real Madrid were mooted as possible destinations for the midfielder if he decides to seek a move elsewhere. However, the United academy graduate is said to want to remain at Old Trafford, if he can agree a new deal with the club.
It is claimed United are ready to table a new contract worth around £100k-per-week. Mainoo burst into the senior side last season and despite seeing his current campaign disrupted by injury, he remains a key player for the club. Give Me Sport say the offer that United are preparing is in line with the new contract recently handed to fellow academy graduate Amad Diallo. Mainoo is under contract until June 2027 while Diallo’s new contract - which was confirmed back in early January - will keep him with the club until 2023.
Man United offer well below Mainoo’s £180k-per-week demand
Reports in early March from the Daily claimed Mainoo’s representatives want the player to be handed a pay rise of £180,000 per week plus bonuses. They are said to feel that is more reflective of his importance within the Red Devils’ squad and his status as an England international. However, as reported by Give Me Sport above - United feel £100k is fair and still reflective of the player’s importance.

Whether Mainoo would be happy to accept United’s offer remains to be seen but the club are said to want to avoid a “drawn-out” saga given the interest from some of the domestic and European rivals.
Asked about Mainoo, Amorim said back in January: "Our idea is always to keep the best players and the players we build for this club. But we know the position the club is in at the moment. We will see."
