Man Utd confirmed team news v Brighton as £72m striker and Tottenham loanee handed first starts

Rasmus Hojlund makes his first Manchester United start as Erik Ten Hag’s men host Brighton at Old Trafford. 

As does Tottenham loanee Sergio Reguilon at left back in a defence that sees Diogo Dalot line up at right back ahead of Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Victor Lindelof get the nod ahead of Harry Maguire to partner Lisandro Martinez.

Skipper Bruno Fernandes could play from the right in support of Hojlund with Scott McTominaty in to bolster up the midfield. 

New arrival Sofyan Amrabat misses out as he is not deemed fit enough. 

Jadon Sancho is not involved after being told to train away from the first team following his row with Ten Hag. The exiled winger was earlier in the day spotted watching United’s Under-18s at Carrington. 

Fellow wide player Antony is on a leave of absence as he fights allegations of domestic abuse from three women.
