Man Utd 'confident' £60m transfer target will 'choose Old Trafford' over 'any other opportunity' this summer

Manchester United consider their summer options as they prepare for a big change up under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Manchester United are lining up their options for a summer transfer haul and there is focus on a number of positions within the starting line-up. Several senior players are expected to leave the club this summer, both as free agents and part of outgoing transfers. This leaves a lot of room for the Red Devils to undergo a restructure under new part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The British billionaire is looking to make some changes at the end of the season to revive United's form and push them back up towards the top of the Premier League. They are currently sixth in the table, 11 points adrift of the Champions League qualification spots.

As well as new defenders, United are eyeing up new attacking options. Anthony Martial is entering the final months of his contract and reports of the inconsistent Antony potentially being placed on the transfer list are doing the rounds.

United have scored significantly less goals than those around them in the table this season. With just 37 on the board, they have scored the same amount as Luton Town, and have the lowest tally in the top half of the table. Hence the desire to recruit new options in attack.

One of the key names being mentioned on the United transfer rumour mill is Crystal Palace's Michael Olise. A numbers of key players at Selhurst Park have been linked with summer exits as the Eagles continue to struggle this season, and the 22-year-old is right up there.

Olise has struggled with injuries this season but has still managed to contribute six goals and three assists in 11 Premier League appearances for Palace. His efforts have attracted a lot of attention in recent months.

According to TEAMtalk, United 'hold a strong desire' to sign the right-winger this summer and Palace have been made aware that he wants to leave the club. Chelsea are also very keen on Olise and came close to signing him last year, but United 'hold the upper hand' and they are 'confident' that the player will 'choose a move to Old Trafford over any other opportunity'.

If they want to snap him up at the end of this season, a £60 million price tag has been quoted, as his release clause is due to come into action once the transfer window opens following his new deal last year.
