United chiefs yet to change roles

United chiefs Richard Arnold and John Murtough could be set for new roles - or indeed to be moved on - once Sir Jim Ratcliffe arrives as a partial owner, but no roles have shifted just yet.

That's according to Fabrizio Romano, who told GiveMeSport: "Look, at the moment, there is still nothing communicated to them. So, they are obviously working to do their best for Manchester United, taking care of the contract extensions, taking care of the internal discussions on a daily basis, also looking at the January transfer window. So, nothing has changed in their job, and they keep doing their job as always.”

Inacio links

United are said to be making moves ahead of the January transfer window, with a supposed 'payment plan' leaked. Sporting CP star Goncalo Inacio has been linked with a move, with the Red Devils needing more depth at centre-back.

According to Correio da Manha, United already have a payment structure to sign Inacio, agreeing to pay £39.3million upfront plus £13.1million in bonuses. It's reported Sporting are keen to do a deal where they would receive further payment based on performances. It's also reported that Raphael Varane could be offered as part of a potential deal.
