Man Utd next two transfer targets revealed as stunning £90.5m double swoop touted after 'verbal agreement'
Manchester United may still stun the transfer market with further moves this summer
Hardly a day has passed without Manchester United’s transfer business hitting the headlines this summer. Rarely does a club the size of United ever have such a dire need both to sign and sell players within the same summer, as the Red Devils aim to prevent the reoccurrence of last season’s disaster.

With just over a month to go until the end of the window, so far, so good. Matheus Cunha arrived first to ease any early concerns, before this week saw the conclusion of a Bryan Mbeumo transfer saga which saw the forward sign from Brentford after United saw two previous bids rejected by the Bees.
Through the exit door appears set to depart Marcus Rashford, on a loan move to Barcelona with a reported £26m option to buy next summer. Jadon Sancho has been linked with Juventus and must be sold this summer to avoid going on a free next year. The futures of Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia also remain undecided but United hope to soon have more money to spend.
Man United’s next two transfers touted in £90m splash
According to a report by Fichajes, United may already know who their next two summer signings will be and could be prepared to spend just over £90m to bring the pair to Old Trafford.
It has recently been reported that a new striker, a midfielder and a goalkeeper are the three positions which sit top of Amorim’s wish list. The Portuguese would solve two of these dilemmas as per Fichajes’ report. They state that United are targeting Benjamin Sesko in what would be an €80m (£69m) transfer from RB Leipzig for the striker, while midfielder Javi Guerra may also sign in a €25m (£21.5m) deal from Valencia.
Sesko has become a prime target for United in recent days after it became clear Viktor Gyokeres would be going to Arsenal, who had previously targeted Slovenia international Sesko. While Guerra has reportedly rejected a new contract at Valencia according to Mail Sport, alerting United to the possibility of an affordable deal for the Spain U21 international, who has been reported to have a “verbal agreement in place” with the Red Devils.
Would Sesko and Guerra be smart moves for Man United?
In Sesko and Guerra, United would be signing two young gems with much room to develop and grow under Amorim. The nature of Sesko’s asking price would of course make him the more high-risk purchase of the two, but the Slovenian has become one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe for a reason after 39 goals in two seasons at Leipzig. Blessed with both a great physical presence and blistering pace, Sesko has been tipped by many to take the Premier League by storm if he were to make the move to England.
Like Sesko, Guerra is also 22 (in fact, both players were born in the exact same month in May 2003) and offers a significant skillset in the middle of the park. Tall and powerful but yet elegant and technical, Guerra is as equally comfortable driving up the pitch with the ball at his feet as he is getting stuck into tackles to break up opposition attacks. Capable of playing a deep-lying holding playmaker role or as a box-to-box midfielder, Guerra is versatile and can still be moulded into finding his ideal position at United.
The major question which would hang over both players concerns whether they would be able to live up to the pressure at a club the size of Manchester United, as young players unproven at this level. But if the pair are both eased into the side and the likes of Mbeumo, Cunha and Bruno Fernandes take some of the goalscoring burden off Sesko, then both the Slovenian and Guerra could grow into top-class players at Old Trafford.
