Manchester United supporters believe their club would be well-placed to sign Leicester star Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall in the summer transfer window after some old details emerged.

United are looking to sign at least one midfielder at the end of the season, with Dewsbury-Hall viewed as the type of ‘shrewd signing’ Ineos could look to make during their first summer in charge.

It is understood the 25-year-old is currently of interest to a number of Premier League clubs, with Tottenham and Newcastle two of the sides most strongly linked with a move for him. United have also been linked with a move for Dewsbury-Hall, though they are likely to initially pursue other midfield targets as they prioritise the addition of a defensive midfielder this summer.

If indeed United decide to make a move for the Leicester star, then it seems like they would have little trouble convincing the boyhood fan of moving to Old Trafford.

In the wake of the latest reports, a number of his old tweets resurfaced, which showed him cheering on United, as well as a video clip in which he admits to supporting them as a child.

A couple of notable tweets include one from 2011 that reads: "Come on United! We are looking SO SO good 2-0" and another from 2016 that reads: "Come on United" followed by a loveheart emoji.

As well as the tweets, an old interview also emerged that showed Dewsbury-Hall talking about his love for the club as a youngster. "I used to always watch Man United when I was two, three (years old) because my family supported them," he told LCFC TV. "I think one of my earliest memories was watching Scholes and Giggs when they were in their prime."

Dewsbury-Hall was recently included in the EFL Championship Team of the Season and was named on the three-man shortlist for EFL Championship Player of the Season as well.
