Man United 'willing to offer' £85m to sign Premier League midfielder ahead of Man City & Juventus

Ruben Amorim will be hopeful that his United side can salvage something from what has been a poor season at Old Trafford by winning the Europa League final against Tottenham later in May.
If they do so, it will hand them a spot in the Champions League next season which would be a huge boost to Amorim’s plans in the transfer market as he will be able to attract bigger and better players to Old Trafford.

Man United join race for Tonali
Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali has no doubt been one of the best in the Premier League this season, helping both with defensive duties and attacking creativity. He is one of the best all-round midfielders in the division.
Tonali has already been linked with a move to United’s rivals Man City as Pep Guardiola aims to replace the likes of Ilkay Gundogan and Kevn De Bruyne next season. The Italian has also been linked with Juventus, but now Man United are the latest to show an interest.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, United will compete with the pair in order to try and sign Tonali from Newcastle. The report also suggests that Real Madrid are keeping an eye on the midfielder.

If United do qualify for the Champions League next season, they would be able to use the funds generated from that and the likely sales of Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho to help fund a move for the Newcastle star.
Would Tonali consider moving from Newcastle to Old Trafford
It would seem a slightly strange decision for the midfielder to leave Newcastle for Man United at the moment, as Eddie Howe’s side won silverware this season, and they are currently third in the Premier League, looking likely for Champions League football next season.
United’s future seems a lot more uncertain, however, the attraction of joining one of the traditional ‘big six’ in the Premier League could tempt Tonali, especially if he is excited by the prospect of playing under Ruben Amorim in his 3-4-3 formation.
