After a week that has already seen them handed a baffling trip to face Brentford at 8pm on Easter Saturday and a 8.15pm kick-off against Chelsea with train strikes the following day, it is the latest kick in the teeth of United supporters.

The last train that is currently available for supporters looking to head back to Manchester Piccadilly that night leaves Crystal Palace at 8:26pm, just after the match is due to kick-off. As it is a Bank Holiday in the United Kingdom, the last train to depart London Euston for Manchester Piccadilly is at 9:39pm. It leaves thousands of supporters facing travel chaos if they are looking to attend the match, with matchgoing fans an afterthought once again.

United's hopes of qualifying for the Champions League could be all but over by the time they face Palace following their dramatic 4-3 defeat at the hands of Chelsea on Thursday night.

Erik ten Hag's side led in the ninth minute of second-half stoppage time before a brace from Cole Palmer flipped the game on its head to condemn United to another Premier League defeat.
