Manchester City and Manchester United's women meet in the second derby of the season at the Etihad Stadium this month.

Gareth Taylor's hosts will be seeing the game as a major hurdle on their way to a potential title triumph while United will be looking to pick up a big victory in a season that has seen them fall below pre-season expectations.

The sides last met in the league in November, when City came out 3-1 winners at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Jill Roord, Lauren Hemp and Khadija Shaw, despite being down to 10 players for the final 20 minutes. It is one of a string of results that has seen pressure mount on United boss Marc Skinner. City for their part have won the nine league matches that followed the United win.

We need to try to remain there as best we can.”
