Where do Manchester City and Manchester United stand in a Premier League table calculated on results during 2023?

The last 12 months have brought contrasting fortunes for Manchester City and Manchester United.

City claimed a historic treble when they claimed a narrow win against Inter in the Champions League Final just weeks after landing their third consecutive Premier League title and seeing off United in the FA Cup Final. Silverware continued to arrive in the form of the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA World Cup as Pep Guardiola's men rounded off a remarkable year that will live long in the memory.

United also secured silverware after they beat Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup Final to win their first major trophy under Erik ten Hag - and they also returned to the top four of the Premier League ahead of the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea. But their attempts to build on their first season under the former Ajax manager have been hampered by an inability to find consistency during the first half of the current season.

With the new year now upon us, we look back at a Premier League table calculated on league results during 2023 and see how the records of both Manchester clubs compares to their rivals.
