There is set to be a new face in the Manchester United squad when they face Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley Stadium today.

Erik ten Hag’s side have been handed a triple scare ahead of the clash, after Mason Mount, Sofyan Amrabat and Willy Kambwala were absent when United boarded their train to London at Stockport Station yesterday.

It means United will have just one fit senior centre-back for the clash, with Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof all ruled out through their respective injuries.

Teenage defender Louis Jackson has been promoted to the senior side for the match and here is everything you need to know about him…

Full name: Louis Jackson

Date of Birth: Sep 18 2005 (18)

Born: Oldham

Position: CB

Squad number: 78

Jackson has been a regular for United at youth level in recent years and shone in the FA Youth Cup final victory two years ago, after he had been drafted into the starting line up minutes before kick-off.

The 18-year-old has already signed his first professional contract at the club and scored a winner for the U18s in the Manchester derby win over Man City earlier this year.

Jackson, who represents Scotland at youth level, also has plenty of experience at Premier League 2 level and broke the record for being the club's youngster ever Under-23s player.

Due to his involvement in the Youth League and EFL Cup he was issued the No. 78 squad number for the current campaign.
