The latest Liverpool team news ahead of the Manchester United clash.

Manchester United host Bayern Munich in the Champions League this evening ahead of the weekend trip to Anfield to face old rivals Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

And Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has a number of injury concerns ahead of the game, the main one being summer signing Alexis Mac Allister. The versatile midfielder suffered a nasty cut at Sheffield United last week and sat out the Crystal Palace win. Mac Allister may not be risked again in midweek.

Other injury concerns include Diogo Jota (muscle injury), Andy Robertson (shoulder surgery), Joel Matip (long-term with a ruptured ACL) and Stefan Bajcetic (calf). Thiago Alcantara will also be missing with a hip injury.

Liverpool finish their Europa League group stage when they travel to Royal Union Saint-Gilloise on Thursday and with Liverpool having already qualified, they could make changes against Union SG and rest key players ahead of Sunday.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial missed Manchester United training on Monday due to illness, with both doubts for Tuesday’s Champions League encounter against Bayern Munich.

The Red Devils must win at Old Trafford and hope Copenhagen’s clash with Galatasaray ends in a draw, otherwise Erik ten Hag’s side will be eliminated from the competition. But the team’s chances of getting a result against Bayern could be lessened if United are without two attacking options.
