Manchester United’s defensive options could be boosted on Thursday with Victor Lindelof possibly in line for a return to the matchday squad for the trip to Leicester City.
Despite being a regular feature of the United team in pre-season, the Swedish centre-back has not been involved at all since the start of the new campaign due to injury.

"Victor Lindelof is training with the team, we will see today [Wednesday] how far he is but just one session he was in. He was two-three weeks out,” Ten Hag explained.
While it’s welcome news for United, the manager’s comments do seem to imply Lindelof is unlikely to be handed an immediate return to the team in Leicester.
Nor will Anthony Martial, with Ten Hag confirming he is still absent with an Achilles problem that kept him out of the 1-0 win over Southampton on Saturday.

Martial has played just 45 minutes of Premier League football this campaign due to the Achilles issue and a hamstring injury he picked up in pre-season and ruled him out of the first two games.
As for Leicester, who are yet to win any of their opening four league matches of the season, Brendan Rodgers confirmed in his pre-match press conference that James Maddison is a doubt.
"We’ve had most of the guys training and available as was for the weekend," said the Northern Irishman. “[On]James Maddison, we’re hopeful, but we’ll see how he is tomorrow."
The only other injury issues for the Foxes are Ricardo Pereira and Ryan Bertrand, both of whom will be missing through long-term problems.
