'Our plan' - Lecce president sends Manchester United warning over Patrick Dorgu transfer
Man Utd are in talks to sign Patrick Dorgu from Lecce in the January transfer window.
Lecce president Sticchi Damiani has warned Manchester United his club has no plans to sell Patrick Dorgu in the January transfer window.

United have already had a reported €30 million bid rejected for the full-back and are expected to return with an improved offer in the final days of the window. It is understood Lecce are demanding a €40 million fee for the defender and are prepared to keep him until the end of the season if his valuation it not met.
Ruben Amorim has prioritised the addition of a wing-back in the current window, with Dorgu identified as a top target for the role due to his age and ability. The 20-year-old is also capable of playing in an attacking role, which makes him the ideal fit for their new tactical change.
Dorgu started for Lecce in their Serie A clash with Inter on Sunday evening and ahead of the match, club president Damiani was quizzed on his future. “There are a series of situations in progress to complete the squad,” Damiani told Sky Sport Italia. “We are trying to resist, as is logical, because it is in our interest to keep the players who are protagonists of this group. So far, our plan is to not sell anyone in January.”
United are adamant they will not overpay for Dorgu this month but are aware that time is running out to reach an agreement before deadline day. It is understood they are also considering alternatives for the role and could consider triggering their option to buyback Alvaro Fernandez from Benfica.
