Latest Premier League table without VAR: Where Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool and rivals rank without technology - gallery

A look at what the Premier League table would look like without VAR to see where Manchester City and Manchester United would rank.

Manchester City and Manchester United continue to put together very different campaigns, but how do the two rank in the without VAR table? The officiating technology has caused controversy aplenty again this season, but some teams have been impacted more than others.

City are currently on course to land another Premier League title, while United face a battle to get a Europa League spot after disappointing results of late. The Red Devils could only draw with Bournemouth over the weekend, and they were saved late on when VAR intervened to overrule a penalty, with the foul having been committed just outside the box.

As for City, they didn’t need the help of the technology over the weekend, surging into the lead in the title race with a comfortable 5-1 win over strugglers Luton Town. With Arsenal and Liverpool both losing elsewhere, Pep Guardiola’s men are now in control of their own fate as they look to defend their title.

But where would they be without VAR? Here we have put together a table based on just that, taking the game-defining VAR decisions and going with the decision made by the on-field referee. Take a look below to see where City and United rank.
