Manchester United are 10 days into their January transfer window and all business conducted has been focusing on outgoings so far. Club chiefs admitted they expect a quiet month and Erik ten Hag is seemingly trimming the fat of his squad amid an easing of the fixture schedule.

United only have three fixtures to prepare for in January and the next one sees them host Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. And ahead of that game on Sunday, ManchesterWorld has rounded up some of the latest headlines.

Sancho hint

Jadon Sancho has hinted that his move to Borussia Dortmund is imminent by liking a social media post detailing the terms of a deal. Fabrizio Romano posted on Wednesday that an agreement was in place for the winger to move on loan, returning to the club he was at before moving to Old Trafford in 2021.

Romano added that Sancho was due to travel to Germany for medical tests on Wednesday and Sancho liked the transfer expert's post on X. The 23-year-old has not spoken openly about the move for obvious reasons but this is the first hint directly from him that a deal is close.

Sancho has not played for United since August after being exiled from the first-team by Erik ten Hag during the September international break. Ten Hag accused the former England star of being below-par in training and was essentially accused of lying over social media.

Martial decision

Anthony Martial is reportedly keen to stay at United for the rest of this season amid reports linking him with a January exit. The French striker's contract expires in the summer and has not been extended, despite there being an option to do so for 12 months.

Sky Sports report that Marseille, Fenerbahce and clubs from the Saudi Pro League have all expressed an interest in Martial but the 28-year-old wants to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place in the team.

United have held talks with Martial and his agent regarding future plans, but their decision not to activate a 12-month extension at a point when they did for three other players - Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof and Hannibal Mejbri - suggests they either want to offload the striker or keep him on reduced terms.
