Inter Milan 'ready' to strike deal to sign Man United star who Ruben Amorim says 'gives everything'
Manchester United are likely set to see some form of rebuild this summer, bringing in several new players that can hopefully succeed under Ruben Amorim in what will be his first full season in charge at Old Trafford.
However, if they are to bring in several players, they will also need to sell a number of players to generate funds to complete their transfer business. The striker position has become a topic of debate at Old Trafford this season.

Hide AdJoshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund have combined for just seven Premier League goals this season, and United look likely to sign at least one striker with Matheus Cunha and Liam Delap linked. If they do, then at least one of Zirkzee and Hojlund may have to leave.
Inter ready to sign Zirkzee
Joshua Zirkzee has struggled in his first season at Old Trafford, scoring seven goals and providing three assists for United in 48 appearances after he joined from Bologna last summer.
The Dutchman could be on his way out after just one year however, as he has been linked with a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan amid reports of United wanting to sign strikers this summer.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Inter are ready to strike a loan-to-buy deal for Zirkzee this summer. The report says that the Serie A side are prepared to include an obligation to buy in any deal, meaning that they would be forced to sign Zirkzee regardless of performance during his loan spell.

Hide AdIt says that INEOS would ideally like to recoup the £34m that they spent on Zirkzee last summer; however, after a poor scoring season, it could be difficult for United to price him that high.
Amorim has been in high praise of the Dutchman, however, expressing his desire to keep him in January. Speaking to the media, he said: “I want to keep Josh because he gives everything and he’s trying in training, but we don’t know. The window is open, and we will see what happens.”
Any sale of Zirkzee would make financial space for United to complete a move for Wolves striker Matheus Cunha, who is reportedly very close to agreeing to join at Old Trafford.
United could see Zirkzee and Hojlund leave
If United are prepared to sell the Dutchman, they could also consider selling Rasmus Hojlund, who arguably had a worse season than Zirkzee did at Old Trafford this year.

Hide AdHojlund made 49 appearances in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing four assists. He has also been linked with a move to Italy, with reports emerging earlier in the season suggesting that the likes of Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli were all keen to sign the Danish striker.
United won’t be able to sell Hojlund for anything close to the £72m that they paid for him back in August 2023, so they would likely want to loan him out first to increase his transfer value.
