'I can confirm' - Manager issues Christian Eriksen transfer update amid contact with Manchester United star
Anderlecht head coach Brian Riemer has admitted he is still in regular contact with Christian Eriksen amid his potential Manchester United exit this summer.
Having already signed both Joshua Zirkzee and Leny Yoro, United are prioritising player sales in the transfer window before they are in a position to bring any other new faces to the club.

Riemer knows Eriksen well, having worked together at Brentford during a four-year spell as Thomas Frank’s assistant coach, and their close working relationship could hold the key to any potential reunion this summer.
Having signed Kasper Schmeichel a year ago, Anderlecht are no strangers to signing veteran Danes, and they are keeping their options open ahead of the final weeks of the summer window.
“Look, we are always looking for good players. Connections can mean something. But transfer periods are strange things,” Riemer told DH Net. “Last year nobody could have expected Thorgan Hazard to be here, until it happened on the last day. Just like with Schmeichel. Doors open and close quickly.
“I know Christian Eriksen well, yes. We worked together at Brentford three years ago and I still exchange messages with Christian regularly. I know that he is now at a training camp in LA with Man United. So I can confirm that he is not in Brussels!

It sometimes takes time to massage certain targets. At the end of the window, there is sometimes an opportunity like last season with Thorgan Hazard.”
