How Manchester United’s stunning future £1.3 billion squad could look - according to Football Manager

The game predicts huge changes at Old Trafford in the coming seasons.

As Manchester United continue their arduous bid to reestablish themselves as a genuine Premier League title contenders, supporters will be understandably eager to see what direction the club’s future will take.

And while we might not have a crystal ball out our disposal, we do have the next best thing - Football Manager.

The popular video game franchise is renowned for its meticulous detail and authentic approach to the world of, well, football management, and we thought we’d take a look five years into the future to see exactly what the lay of the land is at Old Trafford.

Fast forward to 2026, and it’s all change for the Reds.

Just seven members of United’s current side are still in the match day squad, and Ralf Rangnick’s interim tenure as manager is a distant memory.

The really good news though, is that after years of struggle, the Reds do finally get their hands on the top flight trophy again in 2023 under the guidance of his successor.
