Manchester United will have a lot more firepower in attack next season after they reached an agreement to add Joshua Zirkzee to their playing squad.
United have agreed to pay €42.5 million for his signature, slightly more than the €40 million release clause so that they can stagger the transfer fee over a three-year period, rather than pay it upfront in full.
The Dutch forward will primarily offer backup to Rasmus Hojlund and be a viable option to introduce from the bench, though he is also viewed as a versatile player who can play across the front line if required.
It means we could see Zirkzee play from either flank or through the middle, while his hold-up play and link-up skills also make him a viable option to play just behind Hojlund as part of a front two.
In some matches when United need an additional threat in attack they could quite easily use both their senior strikers in the starting line up and here is what that might look like.
