‘He is the greatest ever’ - Harry Maguire on the impact of Ronaldo signing

Harry Maguire has praised his new Manchester United team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming he is the ‘greatest player to ever play the game’.
The Red Devils skipper was speaking on international duty ahead of England’s World Cup qualifier against Hungary on Thursday.

Hide AdAsked about the five-time Ballon d’Or winner - who returned to the club earlier this week, 12 years after he departed to join Real Madrid - Maguire said he expects him to have a big impact on the United squad.
“Yeah, it’s amazing,” he told reporters via video link. “Obviously I’m away with England at the moment and my focus is on the game tomorrow, but for him to sign back for the club - for me, he’s the greatest player to ever play the game.
“It’s amazing for the club and I’m sure he’s going to have a huge impact on and off the field, and many players can look and learn and improve.
“Obviously he’s going to improve our team with his goalscoring record as well. It’s amazing to have him at the club and I’m looking forward to meeting him in a few days.”

Hide AdRonaldo could make his second United debut next week when the Red Devils take on Newcastle United at Old Trafford.
The 36-year-old, who is expected to play in Portugal’s clash with the Republic of Ireland on Wednesday, is yet to return to Manchester since agreeing the transfer.
He has however, done his first official interview with the club’s media team, while his shirt number is yet to be confirmed.
